EARL
ALEXANDER HICKS SR. 71, of Quinton, died Monday. He was
retired from Birmingham Northern Railroad, where he worked
as a brakeman for 36 years. He was a member of United
Trans Union and Bluff Creek Hunting and Fishing Club
and was employed with Security Engineers. He was a member
of Aldersgate Methodist Church, Dora. Funeral will be
at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Davis
Cemetery, Bell Funeral Home, Sumiton directing. Survivors
include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Hicks; three sons, Earl
A. Hicks Jr. and his wife Mary, of Forestdale, Ronnie
A. Hicks and his wife Helen ,of Dora, and Charles R.
Hicks and his wife Terrie, of Pleasant Grove; two daughters,
Mrs. Janice Bennett and her husband, Julius, and Mrs.
Betty Cox and her husband Harold, both of Dora; a sister,
Mrs. Dovie Goodwin, of Cullman, and a brother, Carl Hicks
of Flagstaff, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren and a host
of nieces, nephews and other relatives. |
