Davis Cemetery History
JULIUS LEROY BENNETT, 67, of Dora died Friday,
July 26, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton.

Funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2002, at
Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Davis Cemetery. Bro. James Aycock and Bro. Kieth Owens will officiate. Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton is directing.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, July 27, 2002, at Bell Sumiton Chapel.

He was retired from W.J. Bullock as a truck driver and was known for his volunteer work at Davis Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Leola Bennett; two brothers, Eugene "Poochie" Bennett and Jimmie Andrew Bennett.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice H. Bennett; two daughters, Sherry Blackstock and her husband, Mike of Vance and Debbie Aaron and her husband, Barry of Hayden; five brothers, Slim Bennett and his wife, Carol of Rocky Hollow, Joel Bennett and his wife, Lucky of Cordova, James Bennett and his wife, Jenny of Nauvoo, Johnny Bennett and his wife, Joan of Parrish, Perry Bennett of Jasper; three brothers-in-law, Earl Hicks and his wife, Mary, and Ronnie Hicks and his wife, Helen, all of Dora, and Randy Hicks and his wife, Terrie of Pleasant Grove; one sister-in-law, Betty Cox and her husband, Harold of Dora; four grandchildren, Jacob and Amber Blackstock of Vance and Jesse and Ben Aaron of Hayden; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
